Hip Hop Meets Streetwear

I’ve been finding myself listening to my same playlists (which I am so tired of now, and I’ve been waiting for new music to drop! Within the genres that I typically listen to, I feel as though there hasn’t been any music dropping lately.

However, YFN Lucci just dropped an album, and it’s perfect timing! It’s spring break and I need some traveling music. I’ve been a Lucci fan since “Wish Me Well 2,” and I definitely would consider him to be one of my favorites. I like Lucci because his music is relatable. He has a very unique music style from the rest of the individuals in his genre and I appreciate that. He has radio hits like “Key to the Streets,” “Everyday We Lit,” and “Street Kings.” Lucci even has slower songs catering to the ladies like “Run It Up” and “Missing You” which are my personal favorites.

I also enjoy Lucci’s fashion sense. I like to see rappers allowing their stylist to take them outside of their comfort zone sometimes, but at the same time remain themselves. Lucci was recently been featured in a lookbook where he teamed up with the LA-based streetwear brand DOPE. Hip-hop plays a huge role in fashion, so I love seeing clothing brands collaborate with hip-hop artists! Click here to learn more of Lucci’s feature. Be sure to check out Lucci’s latest album “Ray Ray from Summerhill.”  Comment below your favorite Lucci songs!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am back on this day of sharing love to share something I love with you all, and that’s CHEAP flights! I tell everyone that wants to travel at an affordable cost to follow different pages that share flight deals, but I also make it my job to post some of the best deals that I see. This week in my feeds I spotted some bomb deals, internationally and domestic including:

If you’re really down for an adventure you can grab the flights to Fort Lauderdale/Miami and a flight to Belize making it a multi-stop vacation. Now that sounds fun! Are you down for some fun in the sun? Spring Break and the Summer is approaching. Plan a grand vacation at an affordable cost before it’s too late. Comment below if you’re GRABBING any of these flights or PASSING!

Street Art + Me = A Shoot!

After spending three and a half years in Washington, D.C, I still find myself missing home, Chicago, but having a few months left I decided to take advantage of the city and find cool settings to take pictures. After looking for different places to shoot around the city I found some dope places. I found this alleyway in Northwest named Blagden Alley and it is beautiful. I am a huge fan of street art and street photography, so I knew that shooting here was a must. I hit up Carlissa, at blisswithliss.com, to do a shoot and it was a success! This location was perfect! I’ll definitely be back here to shoot again. There were many different backgrounds that are all great for shooting, but my favorite was the “LOVE” background. I shared some of the photos below and also listed where my outfit is from. Do you all know of any other dope places to shoot in the Washington, D.C or Maryland area?

Coat: ASOS Luxe Teddy Borg

Turtle Neck: Forever 21

Jeans: Zara

Shoes: PUMA by Rihanna Creepers

I am here for Teddy Coats! Teddy coats are big this season and definitely a must-have! Recently I’ve been searching all of my favorite stores for the perfect coat and I found one! Originally I wanted a brown one, but when I came across this pink one it was on sale and I knew I had to grab it! I found this coat at Asos for less than half the price! I LOVE bargains! It is the same coat that I spotted two of my favorite bloggers wearing on Instagram (see below.) Although, the brown coat would have been easier to match other things I couldn’t beat the price of the pink teddy coat. I paired this coat with a simple pair of jeans, cream turtleneck, and my PUMA by Rihanna creepers. Too much thought didn’t go into this look, but it’s definitely a fly casual everyday outfit!

Are you a fan of the teddy coat trend this season? Comment below!

VENI! VIDI! VICI! VENICE!

It’s been weeks since I’ve posted a video, but I am happy to be back! I have a few old videos to post, so within the next week, I’ll be consistently posting! Be sure to comment like and subscribe to my youtube channel!

Welcome back! Welcome back!

I have not been active on my blog since the ending of the semester and although I wish I remained consistent, it has been a well-needed and deserved break. During my time off I went back home ate my favorite foods and went on an 8-day cruise! Obviously, my winter break was great. There would be a later post talking about my cruise in details.

However, it is officially the New Year and I wanted to make a blog post because the new year is easily one of my favorite times of the year. My favorite thing about the new year is reflecting and thinking about the best moments of that year. Also, brainstorming different new year resolutions and changes you want to make. It is sometimes a moment to be unrealistic in goal setting LOL. We say we are going to change 100 things and only change 3. We are all guilty. We mean well but things just don’t seem to work out all the time. 12 days in and I have yet to create my goal list, although thinking about it I am going to make sure that I create S.M.A.R.T. goals, and advise everyone else to make every goal a S.M.A.R.T. goal.

During my absence, I’ve noticed consistent views, and that makes me excited and motivates me to prioritize my blog! My mom also told me that I need to post more LOLOL. So I am here to say welcome back and stay tuned! What are some of you all’s goals for 2018?!

3 HOT DEALS OF THE WEEK!

For the most part I’ve blogged about a variety of things; however, I want to bring the focus back to one of the topics I want to emphasize more, Travel! Here are some of the deals I came across this week that are stealsssss!

I love following travel pages because I get to see all the cheap flight deals and picture of other’s vacations. I’ll be sure to post flight deals that I feel are relevant to my viewers. With this blog post I decided to focus on cheap domestic flights, but I’ll be sure to also post inexpensive international flight deals!

Views from Duomo di Milano

During my travels in Europe, one of my favorite things were capturing pictures in fun outfits in front of places I used to google. Check out this edgy chic look in front of the famous Duomo di Milano.

Creme Restaurant and BarHere’s to the start of another section of my blog, The Foodie. As a student at an HBCU, I love brunching! I’ve recently visited Creme Restaurant & Bar in Columbia Heights, a neighborhood in DC. It was my first time there and I had the Chicken and Waffle. It is by far the best chicken and waffle I’ve had. The chicken was huge and fried to perfection and the waffle was delicious. They had other things on their brunch menu that I am sure is also really good! If ever in the area definitely stop by Creme Restaurant and Bar. Not to mention they are black owned! What are some of your favorite brunch spots in the DMV?  Comment Below!

Issa Look Book!

Homecoming has ended, and I was in my GLO — Chicago lingo being defined as “when one is to “GLO” or “GLO’d Up” his confidence, swag and demeanor are so heightened they cannot be changed by negativity. Here’s a recap of the looks given my last homecoming as an undergraduate.
